FAQ's Continued (Current at 18th August 2020)

Here are some answers to some further frequently asked questions in relation to the various church activities:

Unfortunately we cannot let you sit where you want.

The welcome team will show you to a seat when you arrive.

We are required under the Government guidance to maintain physical distancing, and we will seat people 2 metres apart.

Where possible, we will aim to seat those in the same household / extended household together although this may not always be possible. (In this situation a household / extended household will be grouped together and will be 2 metres away from the next person / group.)

We have provided hand sanitiser at all entrances / exits to the church,  as well as outside the toilets.  However, you’re very welcome to bring your own as well.

The current guidance is that there can be no congregational singing. We may have one singer on the platform whose microphone will be behind a Perspex shield.

Yes, the accessible toilets in the building will be open for use.

We will also be cleaning them more regularly than usual and there will be hand sanitiser at the toilet doors.

Meeting in person for the morning service will unlikely happen for some time, until there is a relaxation on the numbers allowed to be present.

The morning service will continue to be live-streamed.

It is hoped to commence an Evening Service at the end of August.

Due to the restrictions on numbers, you will have to book to attend a service via ChurchSuite.

The booking opens on the Monday before the Service and will close on the Thursday evening.

This will give us time to ensure that the seating is correctly set out.  If you have not booked, please do not come to CCC.

We would ask that you do not stop and chat to people inside the building. If you know of other folk’s attending the service, you’re very welcome to arrange to catch up with them after the service!

To promote physical distancing, at the end of the service, people sitting closest to the exit will be asked to leave first.

We would ask that you move away from the exit outside the building prior to catching up with people and please be considerate of other people.

We await Government guidance on when our Children and Youth Work can recommence.

In the meantime, preparations are underway to allow this to happen.

No decision has been made on when Youth Fellowship will restart in person.

The Youth Fellowship will in the meantime be continuing with their on-line meetings on a Sunday evening.

We have arranged for the building to have a deep clean before reopening.

We have increased the amount of cleaning that we will be doing around the building. (Among other things, this involves wiping down all touch points between services / meetings.)

After each gathering, the chairs used will be stored away for 72 hours before being used for anything else.

We will put new chairs out for each gathering.
