Morning Service at 11am

This Sunday morning, Angus Jamieson will continue in the series: “Following Jesus: growing as disciples of Christ.” The Scripture reading is Colossians 1:28-2:5. Sermon title: “The goal of a disciple maker”.

All are welcome. We hope you will be able to join us. Please book in advance by signing up here.

Evening Service at 6pm

This Sunday evening, we will continue in the series: “Growing in prayer”. Pastor Alasdair will speak to us. The Scripture readings are1 Corinthians 2:1-16 and Ephesians 6:18. Sermon title: "Praying in the Spirit".

Kidzone (age 0 - P6)

Our Kidzone meets during the morning service. Please join us on an adventure as we read the Bible together and find out about the Greatest Story Ever.  Each week at Kidzone we will be reading a part of the Bible, finding out what happened and what God says to us through it.  We’d love for families find a wee bit of time each week to explore this together through the Family Bible Course, written by Andrew Ollerton and his family.

The family link for this week's chapter of the Greatest Story Ever is here.  We will use a timeline at Kidzone so there’s no need to print anything! Just watch, read, chat and pray together.

For more information, contact our family and children's worker Nicki Hutchison.

Junior Youth Fellowship (P7-S2)

The JYF is for those in P7 to S2 and they meet during the morning service at the Church House.

Senior Youth Fellowship (S3-S6) from 7:30pm to 9:00pm

Our Senior YF meet at the church building on Sunday evenings. At the end of our meetings, we enjoy sharing food together and this time allows for great fellowship and conversation between young people and leaders.

Prayer at CCC

Growing in prayer is central to all we do and as part of this we recognise the importance of praying for and with each other as we worship together and rebuild our community. If you would like prayer after any of our morning or evening worship services, or during the week, we would be delighted to pray for with you. You can speak with Pastor Alasdair, one of the Elders or Janet Logue after the services and they will arrange this for you. You can also contact us by phone or send us prayer requests by email. Contact Pastor Alasdair or Janet

Prayer Triplets for Men & Women

Over lockdown many men and women have been really encouraged by meeting together in threes to share their lives, pray and walk alongside each other. Frequency of meetings vary but often this is meeting just monthly over coffee or food in homes or at the church. If you are not part of a prayer triplet and would like to learn more or to connect with others, contact Janet (for women) and Danny (for men). If you would like a short book on what a prayer triplet looks like, and the difference Spiritual Friendships can make, please contact Janet to get a copy. We hope to share testimonies of how prayer triplets have really made a difference to people’s Christian walk so watch this space!

Tuesday Night Prayer, Fellowship and Bible Study for Seekers or New Christians

Would you like to join a small group of ladies as we learn about God, learn to pray with others and read the Gospel of John? We run a relaxed and informal group where you can ask questions, get to know other women, and become more confident in your faith. We meet fortnightly on a Tuesday 7-8:30pm in the café area of the church. Tea/coffee and biscuits will be served 😊 If you haven’t been at a Bible Study group before this is a good place to start. Get in touch with Janet Logue or Doreen Campbell for more information or if you would like to come along.  Open to any women of any age or stage in their Christian walk.

CCC 20s and 30s Group

CCC has a social 20s and 30s group who meet on the last Saturday of the month. If you're looking for a relaxed setting in which to get to know people better - please look for updates for events in the e-newsletter, or join the "CCC 20s and 30s" Facebook page for regular updates on events. I'd really recommend joining the Facebook group if you can as there are sometimes more informal events posted periodically by group members that you could also get involved with. You can also get in touch with Hannah McGillivray (one of the group leaders) if you have any questions.

Care and Support at CCC

Following the difficult period of the pandemic and at the start of a new term many of us might be feeling tired, anxious or unsure about what lies ahead. If you would like someone to talk to in confidence, do reach out as we would love to walk alongside each other as we seek to grow in our walk with Christ. Contact one of the Elders, Pastor Alasdair, your home group leader or Janet at the Pastoral Care Team for an initial confidential conversation.

Listening Ear

We are continuing to offer Listening Ear support to reach out to our community. Listening Ear phone number: 07908 402344.   After the pandemic, there is huge need for people to have a Listening Ear as they struggle with loneliness, isolation, uncertainty and pressure. Please contact Janet if you would like to support the Listening Ear Service as we seek to grow our team and reach out. This could be through joining a prayer team, supporting with administration or with the ministry development.

We are also prayerfully looking for male team members who can support men in the community who need a Listening Ear. We are seeing an increase in the number of men looking for support. Full training and support would be given. Contact Janet for an initial conversation on 07741284817
