Sunday Service on 8th August

Morning Service at 11am

This week one of our Elders, Angus Jamieson, is preaching to us about ''Jesus said 'I am the way, the truth and the life' ''. The Scripture readings are from John 14:1-6.

Please note that there is NO evening service during the summer school holiday.

There is NO prayer meeting on Wednesday 4th August.

Summer Sunday Evening

6:30pm-7:15pm

We will meet at the back garden weather permitting to pray for our church, children, families & young people, and our summer holiday club.
Each evening will include a short Bible message/devotion on prayer which will encourage and equip us in our prayer lives as individuals and as God’s family.  Please consider setting this time aside to join with others to seek God and pray for our CCC family and community.

See below the event page for more details.

Prayer at CCC

If you would like prayer after any of our morning or evening worship services, we would be delighted to pray for you.

Although we are unable to offer this in the building after services at present, please do get in touch with us and we can pray for you or arrange a time for one of the team to meet with you.

Alternatively, speak with our Pastor Alasdair, one of the Elders or Janet Logue after the services and they will follow up with you as soon as possible. Contact Pastor Alasdair or Janet

Summer Kidzone

Over the summer we will have one Kidzone group meeting each week for those who are aged between 4-11 years old. This will continue to meet after a time altogether with our CCC Church Family.  We are sorry that we are unable to facilitate a group for those under 4s over the holidays, but warmly invite families to book seats for the service in the foyer setting. There will be space for your wee one to play as you worship and receive teaching alongside others.

Please can all parents ensure that seats for the service (either in the auditoriums or foyer) are booked for everyone attending, including all children – even if they are going to Kidzone – this is required to keep within the government restrictions and abide by our stated capacity.

For Mhari -  We are looking for new volunteers to go on the rota to take Mhairi to church. She loves getting to church and meeting God’s people. You would be required to take her to the morning service every 4 to 6 weeks. We have a Kangoo mobility car that you can use to transport her. A PVG check is essential. If you aren’t checked, the church can help you through the process.  If you can help, please contact Alison Jamieson (email: alison.j@hotmail.co.uk)

For Jacqui - There’s a need for some more people to join the rota taking Jacqueline (Jacqui) Barclay to church. She loves coming and being part of the fellowship. Supporting Blythswood

Graeme Campbell completed his challenge through Blythswood Care’s ‘Bridging the Gap’ event by cycling across and between the 20 longest bridges in the Highlands. He started on Wednesday 16th June from Ballachulish, passing through Loch Quoich, Dornie, Waterloo (Kyle), Skye, Durness, Thurso, Dunbeath, Kessock, Kingussie among others. The total distance covered over 523 miles, reaching Inverness on Saturday 20th June.

Thank you so much to all who have so generously donated already. Thanks to you, the Talita Kum project will be able to help more young people like Daniela, Denisa, Gringo and Dani get better prospects in life. Coming from families who often don't appreciate the value of education, they are helped and encouraged to pursue schoolwork and therefore greatly enhance their life prospects. More details here: https://blythswood.org/talita-kum/

You can still support Graeme and the Talita Kum project in Romania. More details are at this link here

Jemma Sinclair (8 years old), a child from our CCC Kidzone, is attempting to climb the highest mountain in the UK – Ben Nevis, on Monday 2nd August. She will also be busking on the high street in Inverness playing the harp on Saturday the 7th from 11:30am onwards. Jemma’s sister Anna (4 years old) is planning to cycle down the Caledonian Canal towpath from Inverness Leisure Centre down to Dochgarroch and back (just over 7 miles) on Tuesday 3rd Aug.

They are doing these challenges to raise money for the Talita Kum project, Blythswood, and a Chinese orphan named Su Gan Er Zuo from Sichuan Province. For more details, visit their page here

Blythswood Care is also running various challenge events this year giving people opportunities to help raise essential funds for projects, and also have some fun. Check out their website for more details.
